Monday, May 19th, CASA volunteers were trained in opioid overdose prevention. Debra Clark, Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist for Hamilton County Coalition, shared the signs of overdose, statistics on opioid use and overdoses in Bradley and Polk counties, and demonstrated how to use NARCAN (also known as Naloxone, which reverses the effects of opioids in order to prevent overdoses). The information shared with our advocates is invaluable. Thank you Debra for equipping CASA volunteers with life-saving resources.
